Always a Novelty

"We struck the home trail now, and in a few hours were in that astonishing Chicago -- she outgrows her prophecies faster than she can make them. She is always a novelty; for she is never the Chicago you saw when you passed through the last time."
~ Mark Twain from Life on the Mississippi

We're smack dab in the midst of our first fall in Chicago. I didn't think it was possible to fall more deeply in love with the city, but I am.

The temperatures are beginning to drop making sweaters, boots and layers not only fashionable but necessary.

Cultural events crowd the calendar tempting us to enjoy every last moment before it's too cold to leave the apartment.

It's magical, I tell ya. Purely magical.

Quick, tell me something you love about Chicago (or wherever you live) in the fall.
